The security services at Khoms Port have seized a container shipped from China containing machines, equipment, and raw materials used for manufacturing tramadol tablets, the Ministry of Interior confirmed on Monday.
"After taking samples from the container, investigating and collecting information, it became clear that the machines were intended to manufacture tramadol tablets, the Interior Ministry said.
It confirmed that the person who had imported the container was identified, and legal measures were taken against him.
The container was seized with all its contents and sealed with red wax, in the presence of relevant officials, according to the Interior Ministry.
