The UN Security Council said it will hold a meeting on July 15 on Libya, adding that it will be on the ministerial level with France's Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian as the Chairman.

The Security Council said UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, will brief the attendees in the presence of either the Secretary General Antonio Guterres or his deputy, who will be delivering a briefing on the situation in Libya as well, in addition to a report by the Chairman of the Sanctions Committee pertaining to the last 60 days in Libya.

The Security Council said Libya had achieved so much on the way to achieving peace and stability, including the ceasefire in last October and forming National Unity Government on March 15 that will lead Libya to elections on December 24, adding that the constitutional basis is the crux point for voting .
