The examinations for the completion of secondary education, covering science and literature sections, began in schools throughout the country on Saturday.

The Ministry of Education reported that 106,316 male and female students sat the exams, 81,316 of whom entered for the subject of science and 25,426 in the literary section, which were distributed amongst 696 examination boards throughout the country.

The Director-General of the National Examination Center, Ahmed Masoud, confirmed that 90% of the exam questions are set to be amongst those derived from review questions distributed by the ministry to education officials and monitors, whilst 10% will be from the syllabus, in order to ascertain the distinguished students amongst the group from the average range sitting the exams.
