Celebrations initiated on Friday, in Tripoli, for marking the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Scout Movement in Libya.

The ceremony was attended by Faraj bin Saleem, Commander-in-Chief of the General Movement of Scout and Girl Guides, Commander Anwar Al-Zaiteni, Commissioner General of the Tripoli Commission, and Commander Abdul Hafiz Abu-Zahir, member of the Arab Scout Committee, in addition to the participation of the first pioneers of founders, leaders of Scouts and Guides, and their families.

The torch's flame set off from four main points, including, Martyrs Square, Tahrir Square, Jamaa Al-Quds Square, and in front of Al-Khuld Palace, roaming the main streets of Tripoli as part of the celebrations.

The ceremony hosted several events and entertainments, including scouts songs played by the Brass Band of Tripoli's Scout.
