A number of school principals in Kabaw town, situated in the Nafusa Mountain in western Libya, have postponed school classes to the next two weeks as a result of unfinished maintenance work and a lack of textbooks.
There is also a serious lack of supplies and equipment, which is needed by the students and teachers alike.
Public schools had only resumed in Libya last Sunday after a three-week strike organized by the country's teachers’ unions to demand better living pay and conditions.
