The Minister of Education, Othman Abdul-Jalil, held a meeting with the special representative of UNICEF to Libya and urged him to improve mechanisms used to implement the organization's work programs in Libya in the fields of education and training for 2018.

According to the official page of the ministry on Facebook, the two sides also discussed the issues of how the UNICEF could help with refurbishing classrooms damaged by war in both the cities of Benghazi and Sirte.

The representative of UNICEF in Libya stated that the organization in the coming days will begin work on the installation of approximately thirty mobile classrooms in a number of schools in Benghazi, adding that the organization is expected to start its installation work in the city of Sirte by the beginning of November through commissioning a local company to carry out the work.
