The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Sayala, accepted the credentials of the new Turkish ambassador to Libya on Monday, Kenan Yilmaz.

Sayala stressed the importance of the return of Turkish companies to resume their work in Libya and to contribute to reconstruction in light of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries.

He also welcomed Turkey’s support to restore security and stability in the country.

The new Turkish ambassador affirmed the readiness of his country’s companies to return to work in Libya in order to participate in development projects as soon as possible.

Yilmaz said they are negotiating with the competent Libyan executive authorities in this regard.
