The Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala said in a letter to the UN Security Council that the threats of Khalifa Haftar forces' spokesman Ahmed Al-Mismari to target Mitiga Airport are a war crime and a violation of the international humanitarian law.
Sayala said the international community should assume its responsibilities if Haftar's forces ever targeted civilian aircraft and attacked the civilian airports.
He also indicated that the Presidential Council reminds the international community of its responsibility for securing the civilian facilities and protecting the Berlin track, which aims to consolidate the ceasefire.
