The Foreign Minister Mohamed Sayala, in a telephone conversation with the Tunisian Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray, agreed on Tuesday on a strategy to coordinate between both countries in the safe return of stranded citizens, on both sides of the divide, to their homelands.

Sayala said, in an official statement that the two parties agreed on a method of quarantine of Libyan citizens in the southern part of Tunisia and in the city of Zarzis, due to take place with full cooperation of the Tunisian authorities to ensure that the procedures meet the required standards.

Also indicated in the statement was an agreement on the free movement of food commodities and other materials, through the land border at Ras Igdir, having set up all appropriate precautionary measures for safe transport of the goods.
