The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Sarraj, met on Wednesday with the new US Chargé d'affaires to Libya, Donald Blome.

The US Embassy in Libya said the two sides discussed joint cooperation between the United States and Libya, adding that Blome assured Sarraj that "the United States strongly greater fiscal transparency, equitable resource distribution, and economic reform in Libya and encourages quick action by the Presidency Council and other responsible authorities to realize these goals.”

Blome took over from Stephanie Williams, who moved to work with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
