Algerian diplomatic sources have said that the Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Sarraj, requested Algerian officials to exert greater pressure on Egypt to withdraw its direct support to the leader of Dignity Operation, Khalifa Haftar, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed online newspaper.
Sources also quoted Sarraj as saying "There are regional countries including Egypt, who are disrupting the path to a political settlement and the implementation of an electoral plan for Libya".
Sarraj pointed out to Algerian officials that there are people who take terrorism as a pretext to disrupt the dialogue, stressing the importance of Algeria's support for the action plan of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
