Colonel Mohammed Muhara, who is a member of what is known as the “ISIS Fighting Operation Room” in Sabratha has resigned from the group on Tuesday in protest against the continued fighting in the city.

Muhara announced that he had stopped working for the group since yesterday, explaining that his resignation was because the destruction of Sabratha does not honor him, and he will not be the cause of the killing of its people.

Meanwhile, a member of the Sabratha Municipal Council, Abu Qasim Karir, also submitted his resignation from the Council, expressing regret for what he pointed out as the silence of the Council regarding clashes taking place in the city.

Local sources said a truce was reached on Wednesday after three days of heavy fighting.
