The spokesman for the 6th Infantry Brigade in Sabha, Saad Bawaina, confirmed on Wednesday the killing of one of the brigade’s fighters along with two others being wounded in recent clashes, pointing out that the situation in the city at the moment is calm.

Bawaina said in a press statement that “mortar shells falling on the city center are coming from a hostile unit to the brigade,” damaging some parts of Sabha Medical Center, which called for urgent measures, and the removal of patients, especially in the upper floor of the center.

He expected renewed clashes at any time with what he described as “foreign militias” situated on the outskirts of the city of Sabha, pointing out that those “militias” are targeting Sabha Airport and the surrounding farms.
