A member of the House of Representatives for Sabha, Mohammed Matouq Ijdid, has resigned from the eastern parliament, offering his apology to the Libyan people due of what he described as a derail of the national priority.

In a letter sent to local media outlets on Wednesday, Ijdid accused the political parties of trading in the homeland.

The resignation comes amid the political crisis plaguing the country that resulted in bad living conditions in most areas of Libya, especially in the south region.
