The mayor of Sabha Hamid Al-Khayali has held the director of the city's Security Department liable for the closure of the municipality's HQ by giving the protesters permission to organize a protest without the approval of the municipality or knowing their demands in advance.
Al-Khayali insisted in a press statement that the municipality's HQ will remain closed until it is reopened by the protesters who closed it, pointing out that he has informed all the competent authorities of this sabotage act.
Al-Khayali pointed out that the members of the municipal council have reached out to the protesters to know their demands, finding out that they did not ask for specific demands, but were only trying to create chaos, as he put it.
