A Russian official confirmed that Moscow is in full support of an immediate cessation of all hostilities in Libya and the initiation of political dialogue on post-war arrangements in the country, which would be acceptable to all sides.

The Russian Special Presidential Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, said in a press statement on Tuesday that Russia would continue to pressure Ankara to influence the Government of National Accord (GNA), along with the Americans, Europeans and other leading regional countries to follow through with a settlement.
