Russian President Vladimir Putin with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan reconfirmed in a phone call yesterday the need for an immediate cease-fire in Libya, the Kremlin stated.

"The two leaders underscored the need to resume the political process in Libya under the auspices of the United Nations," the Kremlin stated, according to Reuters.

Erdogan had stressed in a telephone call with Al-Sarraj two days ago on the need for a cease-fire and the return of the aggressor forces to their former positions, in order to resume the political process.
