The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that Moscow will send representatives to the capital, Tripoli, to discuss reopening its embassy in Libya, which has been suspended since 2014 due to security conditions.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that its nominee for the post of ambassador is awaiting the approval of the Libyan authorities, adding that once the approval is received, the procedures for his appointment will be completed and he will leave for his work, according to the Russian TASS news agency.
