Reporters Without Borders, also known under its original name Reporters Sans Frontières (RSF) called on Khalifa Hafar to reveal the fate of journalists, Mohammed Al-Qaraj and Mohammed Al-Shaibani who were abducted on May 2 by a pro-Haftar battalion known as "Kanyat".

The head of the RSF North African office, Suhaib Khayati, urged Khalifa Haftar to disclose the fate of the two journalists, saying it is inhuman to keep their families and friends waiting for a long time without any news.

The journalists working for Libya Al-Ahrar channel continued to be held captive for more than two weeks now, without any information on their fate or whereabouts.
