The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the resumption of production of the Farigh oilfield of the Waha Oil Company, following the restart of the trial operation on Thursday.

The field production had been halted due to the withdrawal of the company which was overseeing the trial operation of the gas plant, following the forced closure of the oil facilities in January 2020 by warlord Haftar’s forces.

The total daily gas production of field reached 140 million cubic feet, of which 80 million were pumped to the Al-Sarir power station in order to operate two electric power generating units.
