Scores of illegal migrants continue to refuse to disembark from the ship "Neven", which anchored in the port of Misurata eight days ago, reiterating their insistence on going to Italy.

Several local and international organizations have made efforts to convince the migrants to get off the ship, but without any success in this regard, according to Misurata branch of the Libyan Red Crescent.

The Libyan Red Crescent had provided humanitarian need and conducted medical checkups to the migrants aboard the cargo ship upon its arrival to Misurata Port about a week ago.

Amnesty International said the migrants on board the ship are "at risk of torture if forced to disembark in Libya."
