Mitiga Airport administration has announced that it has postponed its scheduled date of resuming the navigation at the airport due to a delay in the maintenance and expansion work.

On its official website, the airport's management said that the delegation of the UN Mission and the ministries of transport and interior have concluded after their tour to the airport that the airport would be ready by late October.

However, airport officials said that the recent rains in Tripoli have caused damage to the roof and drainage pipes, which compelled to postpone the actual start of operations until maintenance is completed.
