The Ministry of Interior announced the recovery of the bodies of six migrants found at sea north of the Mellita region, western Libya, following a fire that took place on the boat in which they were travelling.
The Ministry confirmed that a marine boat belonging to the General Administration of Coastal Security managed to retrieve six human remains of migrants of varying nationalities, amongst them one woman.
It added that all legal procedures were followed and the remains were handed over to the competent authorities.
