The Public Authority for the Search and Identification of Missing Persons on Saturday confirmed it had established the identity of seven remains that were recovered from the mass graves of Tarhouna, through DNA analysis.

This came after the authority's announcement earlier in the same day that it had started procedures for DNA testing to identify the unknown bodies.

The Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord had previously allocated funds from the emergency budget to cover the operating materials costs needed for the Identification process.
