The deputy head of the sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tripoli has said that a number of displaced families had to return to their homes in areas of clashes due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
The Red Cross official said that the IDPs told them that they had no choice but to return to their homes located in areas where confrontations are still ongoing.
She stressed that this matter highlights what these people are facing, saying they are left with options beyond perception.
"They are forced into a choice between the threat of the shelling or the Covid-19," the official explained.
