The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has expressed its support and solidarity with health-care workers and the Libyan Red Crescent in their efforts to combat the Covid-19 and in educating the people of its dangers.

"The Red Cross is in coordination with health authorities in Libya to provide possible support at a time when the health care system in the country is suffering from the brunt of the ongoing conflict," the Red Cross stated Wednesday.

The Health Ministry announced, on Tuesday, the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in Libya, who returned from a trip from Saudi Arabia on the fifth of March via Tunisia.
