The Libyan Red Crescent provided humanitarian aid to displaced families from the city of Derna in Al-Abraq and other neighbouring towns.

The Information Office of the General Secretariat of the Red Crescent clarified through its Facebook page Saturday that the assistance was provided in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, pointing out that the aid included food items which were distributed to about 200 displaced persons.

Many families from Derna, especially from the areas of Bab Tobruk and the coastal line, which are under the control of the forces of Haftar, have fled their areas due to reported cases of assault and revenge, in addition to attacking homes for the purpose of theft and looting.
