Military sources from the town of Kufra stated Tuesday evening that a reconnaissance plane belonging to the Kufra military airbase had disappeared from radar. The sources added that plane disappeared from the observation tower’s radar from approximately three o’clock in the afternoon.
The fate of the plane and its crew is still unknown until now and reasons for its disappearance are yet to be discovered.
The plane took off on the air force orders to investigate the southeastern Libyan border following information about the presence of Sudanese opposition, fighter vehicles.
