The Libyan and Tunisian authorities have agreed to reopen Ras Ajdair border for the travelers starting Saturday, May 14, in a meeting held by the border’s Tunisian and Libyan administrations together with the Mayor of Zuwara city and the Alderman of Medenine Governorate.

The meeting, which was held in Tunisia, resulted also in the decision to form a joint committee from the two sides of the border to follow up through the agreement, especially the point related to the treatment of the travelers as well as the mechanisms by which commodities are crossing from and to the two sides of Ras Ajdair. Trade will resume on Monday, May 16.
