Libyan Post Telecommunications & Information Technology Company (LPTIC) announced, on Tuesday, a temporary disruption in the communications services between eastern and western Libya.

In a notice on its Facebook page, the company said that communications between eastern and western Libya were partially affected as a result of random digging activity west of Benghazi.

Later, the company announced a delay in maintenance operations due to another cut in the fiber optic cables between the eastern cities of Bishr and Brega, indicating that this caused a delay in the operations and maintenance work.

It confirmed that its team on the ground is continuing to work to resolve the issue and restore the service as soon as possible.
