The Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohamed Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, has condemned what he described as ‘double standards’ when accusing Turkey of interfering militarily in Libyan affairs.

Al-Thani added in a press statement during the Mediterranean Dialogues in Rome that “Ankara clearly supports the Government of National Accord, the legitimately recognized government by the United Nations along with the entire international community.”

He pointed out that the countries which clearly support Khalifa Haftar have not been accused of interfering militarily in Libya, saying that countries in the region should separate their regional interests from the conflict in Libya by putting the interests of the Libyan people at the forefront.
