Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed during a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan a number of current files in the region, including the Libyan file.

A statement issued by the Kremlin on Tuesday said that the two presidents discussed the prospects for settling the situation in Libya and intensifying peace talks efforts.

They also agreed to continue coordination in the Libyan file, at the level of the ministries of foreign affairs, defense and intelligence services between the two countries, according to the Russian agency, Sputnik.
