Salah Al-Marghani, a commander in the General Directorate of Central Security for south Tripoli, has died on Saturday of his wounds shortly after being shot by unknown gunmen in his house.

The gunmen stormed Al-Marghani's house located south of Tripoli Thursday night and opened fire, killing his wife and leaving him with fatal wounds.

Al-Marghani died at Mitiga Hospital the next day.

No official statement has been made from the Ministry of Interior or the competent security authorities in Tripoli about the attack or the identity of the armed group.
