The leader of Haftar's self-styled army's air force, Mohammed Al-Manfour warned that his forces will intensify air raids on Tripoli, calling on residents to stay away from what he called the "militia camps", in reference to the Libyan army forces.

The threats come days after the battles in Gharyan, which ended with the Libyan Army regaining control over the city.

Aircraft belonging to Haftar carried out intensive raids on residential areas south of Tripoli on Monday morning, in addition to bombing military sites in Tripoli International Airport.
