Primary school exams started on Sunday for the 2020-2021 calendar across Libya, and the Director of the National Center for Examination, Ahmed Masoud, said 145046 students sat the exam: 70028 females and 75018 males from 3941 education facilities.

The exams are monitored by 20604 invigilators in 10302 halls with certain measures taken to ensure health and educational safety.

The Ministry of Education hailed the efforts of the National Center for Disease Control in following up on the precautionary measures, in addition to the efforts of Libya Post Company, which sent the questions to all exam centers.

The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah passed Thursday a previous order that allows a raise in teachers' salaries starting this month.
