The head of the Presidential Guard, Najmi Nakoa, confirmed that units of the Presidential Guard are prepared to support forces of the Ministry of the Interior to maintain security and resolve the conflict in the Souq Khamis district, south of Tripoli.
Nakoa added that mediation efforts are continuing to reach a ceasefire in Asbaya and Souq Khamis, calling on local authorities and dignitaries of Tarhuna to help halt any further escalations.
