The commander of the Presidential Guard in Tripoli, Najmi Al-Nakoa, unveiled that they had discussed lifting the ban on weapons exports to Libya with Russia, adding that they are working on uniting the Libyan military institution so that it becomes independent of the political conflicts in the country, according to his statement to the Italian news agency Aki.

He also added that the meetings held in Egypt between the conflict parties’ military officials resulted in several points that aim to reconstruct the army based on modern standards and under a civilian authority.
