Sources close to the Deputy Chaiman of the Presidential Council, Fathi Majbari, confirmed his arrival on Wednesday morning to Tunisia following an attempt to arrest him in Tripoli.
There are conflicting reports regarding what happened to Majbari and whether he was kidnapped or arrested as a result of his statements in favour of Haftar and his illegal procedure in taking over the oil installations.
However, sources confirmed that some parties intervened for his release where he was transferred to a safe place and from there he went to Tunisia accompanied by one of his companions, who was said to have been shot in one of his feet during a shootout with the armed group that tried to arrest Majbari.
