The Presidential Council of the UN proposed government denounced the bombing of the eastern city of Derna by the Egyptian air force, without coordinating with what they described as the legitimate authorities represented by the Government of National Accord, the government recognized by the Arab, African and international governments.

The Presidential Council clarified in their statement that they reject any action that violates the sovereignty of Libyan lands, no matter what is seen as justification.

The Presidential Council concluded by offering their condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the victims in Minya, Egypt.
