The UN-installed Presidency Council has dismissed Defense Minister-designate Al-Mihdi Al-Baraghati and Chief of the Third Force Jamal Al-Treiki following Thursday attack on Brak Al-Shati Airbase in which more than 60 Dignity Operation militants were killed.
The Presidency Council tasked Al-Baraghati’s deputy to run the ministry and denied links to the attack despite the fact that the attacking brigades are under it.
The PC also formed a commission of inquiry into the attack headed by Minister of Justice and membership of Minister of Interior, under the supervision of the PC in its capacity as “the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army.”
