The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, met on Tuesday with the British ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, to discuss cooperation as well as the Libyan political situation.

During the meeting, PM Dbeibah stressed that he has no choice but to elections and handing over the trust to the people.

Both sides reviewed the GNU’s plan to hold the elections and the extent to which the tasks entrusted to it are accomplished.

The meeting comes a day after Dbeibah’s visit to Algeria, during which he met with its president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, handing him a copy of the GNU's plan to hold legislative elections in the country.
