In his capacity as president of General Assembly of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, has set a meeting on July 17 to discuss the new formation of the GECOL Board of Directors.

The meeting will include evaluating the performance of companies operating in the electricity field, following up on the company’s work plan for 2022, and studying the difficulties and problems it faces.

PM Dbeibah ordered on Sunday to suspend the GECOL Board of Directors from work and place it under administrative investigation, in addition to assigning the Director of the Public Services Company, Mohamed Ismail, as an interim general manager of the company working under his direct supervision.
