The Airport Authority made enquiries to the Libyan airlines to keep it informed of all and any preparations in progress to resume flights between Mitiga and Benina airports.

The enquiry came in a letter sent to the general directors of the national companies for their readiness to resume some other domestic flights, in order that the Airport Authority could make all necessary arrangements for such an outcome.

The efforts in progress to reopen the airspace between the airports in the western and eastern regions is sought to ease the hardship suffered by the Libyan people who are forced to travel long distances by land.
