The Philippine Bureau of Investigation announced its wish to send a forensic team to Libya to help identify the remains of the four Filipino workers who were found in eastern Libya.

According to Philippine TV, the Spokesperson for the Bureau said that it is prepared to send a criminal team to Libya as soon as possible and is awaiting an official invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Libya, along with full approval of the Filipino Ministry of Justice.

This came after the Philippine embassy in Libya disclosed in a statement that, with the assistance of the Libyan authorities, the graves of four Filipino oil workers, who were kidnapped and put to death by ISIS in 2015, have been discovered and identified.
