The Fuel and Gas Committee announced on Tuesday that it will stop supplying 93 fuel stations in the western and southern regions and send their staff to the Attorney General to investigate charges of selling fuel on the black market.

The committee stated on its Facebook page that the inspection teams in the western and southern regions continue to investigate closed down stations and that a list of the involved stations will be issued after investigations end.

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, previously stated that organized fuel smuggling is costing the Libyan economy more than 750 Million dollars per year.
