Spokesman for the Government of National Accord, Muhannad Younis said that they will not accept a cease-fire as Haftar's forces continue their attack on the capital, asserting that this requires the return of these forces to their former positions.

Younis said in a press conference that the government has been in constant contact with most countries of the world to condemn the attack on Tripoli, emphasizing that the Libyan dispute could only be resolved through a political solution.

"Talks of a political solution on the same old rules is outdated," Younis said, pointing out that they are documenting the ongoing violations of international law committed by Haftar's forces, in order to take international legal action against them.
