Member of the Presidential Council (PC), Musa Al-Koni, and Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Boujenah have discussed mechanisms to accelerate development projects in the south mainly infrastructure projects.

They also reviewed the bottlenecks encountering the service facilities and ways of alleviating the suffering of the southern region inhabitants.

Al-Koni indicated in a tweet that the partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will allow drawing up a roadmap based on transparency, quality, and speed of implementation.

The southern region is suffering from dilemmas and simultaneous problems, most notably the lack of security, the spread of crime, and the penetration of the southern borders by smuggling and human trafficking gangs, besides the overall poor services, which requires the rapid development of urgent and effective solutions by the executive authorities.
