The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammad Menfi, received on Thursday, the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Office, James Cleverly, and the British Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Menfi praised Britain's great role in supporting the political process, stressing the need for Britain and the international community to cooperate in supporting the new executive authority, the 5 + 5 Joint Military Commission, the opening of the coastal road, the exit of mercenaries, the unification of institutions, and the achievement of national reconciliation.

In turn, the delegation noted the role of the head of the Presidential Council in unifying the country, through his keenness to unify institutions, and stress the need to hold elections on time and accept their results. 

The delegation stressed the need to remove mercenaries and foreign fighters from all Libyan soil, as well as their full support for the rehabilitation of the military institution.
