On Sunday, June 27, the Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi, received the credentials of the Portuguese Ambassador to Libya, Nunu Belo.

According to the media office of the PC, Menfi welcomed the Portuguese ambassador, wishing him every success in his new position, stressing the depth of relations between Libya and the Portuguese Republic, emphasizing Libya’s desire to continue reinforcing relations in a manner that serves the interests of both friendly peoples.

On his part, Ambassador Belo expressed his great pleasure to work in Libya, following the return of stability, following the election of a new executive authority, stressing that “the stability of Libya will contribute to the stability of the entire Mediterranean countries,” adding that the Portuguese government is committed to achieving peace in Libya.
