The Chairman of Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj discussed with Chadian President, Idriss Déby the situation in Libya and coordination between the two countries to ensure joint border security.

This came during a meeting on Sunday on the sidelines of the African Union summit in Niger's capital Niamey.

Al-Sarraj reiterated commitment to continue their battle in defending the capital until the aggression is defeated, so as Libyans can return to the democratic track.

For his part, the Chadian President stressed his country's keenness on the stability of Libya and the importance of the African Union role in ending the war and achieving peace, pointing out that the current events in Libya have negatively affected its neighbours and the whole continent.
